Committed to Social Responsibility at the Wings for Life World Run

The Wings for Life World Run brings people together worldwide for a common cause: supporting spinal cord research. As a long-standing partner, Casinos Austria once again took part in this international charity run in 2026, sending a clear message about social responsibility.

Casinos Austria’s commitment extended beyond financial support. The company’s presence at the event was deliberately open, approachable, and focused on providing information—with the goal of facilitating interactions and bringing social responsibility to life.

Commitment that goes beyond sponsorship

In the event village in front of Schönbrunn Palace, Casinos Austria presented an inviting experience area for people aged 18 and older. Using modern event container architecture, a space was created for personal conversations, accessible information, and interactive elements. It turned the location into a lively gathering spot at the event and provided an opportunity for information.

Player protection as an integral part of the presence

As a provider of gambling, Casinos Austria is aware of the special responsibility that comes with public visibility. That is why player protection was an integral part of the presence.

An interactive quiz gave visitors the opportunity to explore fundamental questions about responsible gaming behavior. The focus was not on competition or prizes, but rather on:

  • conveying knowledge about responsible gaming in a playful way
  • encouraging people to reflect on their own gaming behavior
  • providing an opportunity for discussion about prevention and support

The high turnout and the many conversations held on-site demonstrated just how great the interest is in factual information and dialogue on this topic.

Shared Responsibility – As a Team, Too

Casinos Austria employees also got involved in the event. Some supported the event in advance as part of the corporate volunteering program. In addition, more than 120 employees took part in the run themselves, participating as a team.

Lucky Kilometer 13

The commitment was also visible along the route: With the “Lucky Kilometer 13,” Casinos Austria provided motivation and a boost for all participants—as a sign of solidarity, perseverance, and collective commitment for those who cannot run themselves.

The interactive responsible gaming quiz in the casino area focused on teaching through play.
